Five families are now staying at the Vatoa Methodist Church.

Many crops have also been damaged in Vatoa.

A villager in Ogea, Iliesa Vakadranu says everyone has been advised by DISMAC through the Turaga ni Koro to stay indoors.

Villagers of Nukuni village in Ono-i-Lau whose houses were badly damaged last night are now living at the Nukuni community hall.

The Turaga ni Koro of Nukuni village Filipe Colati says five families had their houses badly damaged.

He says three houses had their rooftops blown away by strong winds last night while another two houses had their kitchen destroyed.
