The Acting Superintendent of Saint Giles Hospital Doctor Kiran Gaikwad says their health staff are safe and know how to deal with extreme cases where some patients turn violent.

He says their staff are trained to handle those aggressive cases.
When asked if there have been cases where some staff have been injured, Gaikwad admitted that sometimes they get hurt especially when the patients are initially admitted.
He says they understand the risks associated with their profession and their staff members can also make an emergency call and immediately get assistance.
Saint Giles Hospital has about 200 health staff currently looking after more than 70 patients.
