The Fiji Police Force today received 20 motorbikes from the SGV Group from Hong Kong.

While handing over the bikes the Chairman of the SGV Wilson Wang says that these are purpose-built police motorcycles with all the necessary equipment to facilitate police work.

Wang says these motorcycles are extensively used in China and other countries.

He says this initiative was encouraged when Jenny and Dixon Seeto visited their manufacturing plant in China this year.

Jenny and Dixon Seeto then jokingly suggested that Wang donate some to the Fiji Police Force.

Wang says he then asked how many and the Seeto’s said maybe 10 or 20 motorbikes.

Wang says the showroom had many different models including different ones for the Police.

While receiving the bikes, Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho says this is a timely donation and it will definitely benefit the force in its operations.

Qiliho says the drivers will take great care of the state of the art motorcycles.

He says the motorcycles will be distributed to all the 4 divisions.

Qiliho says he will be the first commissioner to be seen riding a motorcycle following this donation by the SGV Group.
