19-year-old Isoa Rainima who is charged with seven counts of rape, one count of assault with intent to rape and one count of robbery has been given more time to engage a lawyer.
It is alleged that Rainima of Nanuku Settlement in Vatuwaqa raped a 23‑year‑old tertiary student seven times last year.
The alleged incident occurred at Holland Street in Suva in December last year.
He told Justice Salesi Temo that he has applied for legal aid assistance.
He is further remanded in custody.
The matter will be called again on the 3rd of May.
