Investment Fiji made $536 million in investment in their 2016-2017 financial year.
This was announced by Investment Fiji CEO, Godo Mueller-Teut while making their submission on their 2015/2016 Annual Report to the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence.
Mueller-Teut says that this was a significant growth in terms of investment compared to $300 million that was achieved in their 2013-2014 financial year.
He adds that 163 foreign direct investment projects were completed in 2017 compared to 74 which achieved in 2014.
Mueller-Teut says that Investment Fiji is now ranked 101 out of 187 countries in terms of business progress based on a recent data released by the World Bank Group.
Investment Fiji operates independently as the marketing arm of the Fijian Government to provide services and assistance to promote, facilitate and stimulate increased investments and exports.
