Dilkusha Home is celebrating its 114th anniversary this week and has organised various programs that will also involve those that were looked after at the Home and are now living with their families.
Matron, Deaconess Sala Kacivakawalu says today is a special day as the old girls and boys of the Home who now reside with their families in the Suva-Nausori corridor are preparing dinner for the children and staff of Dilkusha Home.
Over 2,000 girls and boys have grown up at Dilkusha Home in the last 114 years.
Kacivakawalu says they are emphasizing on having stronger families in the week-long event.
Dilkusha Home currently looks after 34 girls and 7 boys.
Members of the public can also visit the Home in Nausori this week and witness how the girls and boys are brought up at Dilkusha Home.
