A bench warrant has been issued for Zoe Maharaj Moore after she failed to appear in Suva Magistrates Court this morning.
Moore and former Suva lawyer Shazraan Abdul Lateef are charged with one count each of being found in possession of 7.89 grams of methamphetamine, one count each of being found in possession of 12.49 grams of cocaine and one count each of being found in possession of 2.5 grams of marijuana.
Lateef was present in court.
Moore’s lawyer Kevin O’Driscoll told the court that Moore is sick.
O’Driscoll told the court that he was informed by Moore’s father that she was sick but was unable to produce a medical report.
Magistrate, Joseph Daurewa then issued a bench warrant for Moore.
The case has been adjourned till next Wednesday.
