Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama has arrived in Cuba for his first official state visit to the country.
He met with Fijian medical students studying at the Latin American School for Medicine and had a talanoa with them this afternoon.
The Fiji Government has been sending medical students to study in Cuba since 2010.
The Prime Minister is also expected to visit the Colonial Havana, Cohiba Cigar Factory and the National Institute for Sports, Physical Education and Recreation.
He will also officiate at a wreath laying ceremony at the National Hero Jose Marti tomorrow.
