The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua did not capitalise on the possessions that they had against Moana Pasifika last night which cost them a win in round 11 of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific.
This was highlighted by coach Glen Jackson following their 34-15 loss in Auckland.
However, Jackson believed that there was no doubt his players gave it everything on the field and probably dominated possession, territory, and line breaks.
He says, unfortunately, they did not get the result that they wanted as Moana Pasifika took their chances.
Jackson says they had enough good quality ball but he thinks what they did with it was not what they were after.
He says he feels their lineout was great in the beginning, and they turned over two that they had been training for.
He adds, unfortunately, the things that they had been working on during training the whole week, they just did bits and pieces of it.
Jackson says if they had carried on doing what they were after, it would have been a different result.
The Drua’s loss has seen them remain at the bottom of the table with only two wins so far this season.
They will turn their focus now to hosting the Reds next Saturday in Suva.
The Drua will take on the Reds at 2.05pm at the HFC Bank Stadium in round 12 of the Super Rugby Pacific.
