Super 7s Series champions Police Blue had to dig deep to edge out Jason Reality Nahehevia 10-5 in the Fiji Bitter Wairiki 7s in Taveuni.

Police Blue have the service of former 7s rep Samisoni Viriviri.

In other results, Waitabu (WBD) defeated Koroivonu Brothers 7-0, Lavena Reds edged Fire Rescue Taveuni 10-5, Uluinakau beat St Joseph Brothers 12-5, and Raiwasa Taveuni defeated Malolo 17-7.

The men’s quarter finals, semi-finals and final will be held on Saturday.
