Spain is through to the semi finals of the HSBC Vancouver 7s after defeating New Zealand 12-7 in the first quarter final.
New Zealand hit first through a try from Tone Ng Shiu in the first half.
They led Spain 7-0 at halftime.
Spain scored two late converted tries through Francisco Cosculluela and Anton Legorburu Anso, to keep their Vancouver campaign alive.
They will face the winner of France and Argentina's match in the semi finals.
Meanwhile, Fiji will take on Great Britain at 1.35pm in the third quarter final, and South Africa will face Australia at 1.57pm.
The cup semi-finals will begin at 8.30am tomorrow, and the Cup Final will kick off at 1.05pm tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s side will face Brazil in the second women's cup quarter final at 3.54pm today.
The women's cup quarter-finals will kick off at 3.32pm today, the semi-finals will begin at 9.14am tomorrow, and the cup final will kick off at 1.41pm tomorrow.
