Suva 1 and Nadi have retained the boys' and girls' titles, respectively, at the 2024 Fiji Primary Schools Tucker’s Ice Cream Games held at the HFC Bank Stadium.
Suva 1 secured a total of 27 medals, comprising 12 gold, 9 silver, and 6 bronze. Meanwhile, Nadi dominated the girls' medal tally with 34 medals, including 18 gold, 9 silver, and 7 bronze.
In the boys’ division, Nadi put up a strong performance to secure second place overall with 6 gold, 7 silver, and 4 bronze medals.
Cakaudrove had to settle for third, winning 5 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze.
During the closing ceremony, Minister for Sports Jese Saukuru highlighted that the two-day competition brought excitement and joy to parents and supporters who witnessed the incredible performances of all the young athletes.
He also encouraged the athletes by saying that with or without a medal, they are all champions.
