Senirusi Seruvakula has stepped down as the coach for the Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua and the Fijiana 15s team.
He will however remain an FRU employee.
FRU Board Chairman Commodore Humphrey Tawake says the FRU Board has accepted the decision made by the coach and are making alternative arrangements for his continued engagement in other Fiji Rugby programs.
FRU Chief Executive John O’Connor says he is thanking Seruvakula for the journey he took with the girls including the Super W victory.
O’Connor says Seruvakula took up the challenge in 2019 in preparation for the 2021 Women’s Rugby World Cup.
He also says Seruvakula took a new Fijiana team to the Oceania where they won the tournament.
O’Connor adds in the interim Inoke Male and Mike Legge are overseeing the girls before the Head Coach is appointed.
Seruvakula says he started his journey with the Fiji Warriors, Drua and leading into women’s rugby.
