Former All Blacks captain Ardie Savea has confirmed he will transfer to Japan for an offshore break at the end of the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
Savea says he is excited to be joining the Kobelco Kobe Steelers and playing in Japan is going to be an awesome experience for him.
The 29-year-old will then return to New Zealand in June 2024 and play through until the end of the 2025 season.
The All Blacks will kick off their Autumn Internationals test match against Japan at 12pm next Saturday.
