Reece and Narawa in All Blacks squad for July tests series, Scott Barrett to lead side

Crusaders winger Sevuloni Reece and Chiefs winger Emoni Narawa have been named in the All Blacks 32-member squad for the July tests series against England and the Fiji Water Flying Fijians.

Coach Scott Robertson has also announced lock forward Scott Barrett as the captain for the side with Ardie Savea and Jordie Barrett as Vice Captains.

Robertson has named 5 uncapped players in the squad with the likes of George Bell, Wallace Sititi, Cortez Ratima, Pasilio Tosi and Billy Proctor.

Robertson says as a coaching group, they are excited about the squad they have selected and they know it’s a group that can play the style of rugby they want the All Blacks to play in 2024.

He also congratulated the five uncapped players in the squad and says it is a proud moment for them and their families.

He adds they have earned their places through performance and consistency and it’s an exciting time in their careers.

Robertson says as coaches, they will get them ready so they can take their opportunity when it comes.

The 32-member squad are:

Asafo Aumua, Beauden Barrett, Jordie Barrett, Scott Barrett, George Bell*, Ethan Blackadder, Finlay Christie, Caleb Clarke, Ethan De Groot, Samipeni Finau, Rieko Ioane, Luke Jacobson, Anton Lienert-Brown, Tyrel Lomax, Damien McKenzie, Emoni Narawa, Fletcher Newall, Dalton Papali’i, TJ Perenara, Stephen Perofeta, Billy Proctor*, Cortez Ratima*, Sevu Reece, Ardie Savea, Wallace Sititi*, Codie Taylor, Mark Tele’a, Pasilio Tosi*, Patrick Tuipulotu, Ofa Tu’ungafasi, Tupou Va’ai and Tamaiti Williams.

The All Blacks will take on England in their first test at 7.05pm next Saturday in Dunedin.

Their second test against England will be at 7.05pm on the 13th of July at Eden Park before taking on the Flying Fijians at 2.30pm on Saturday 20th July in San Diego.
