Fijian flyer Mikaele Ravalawa will join the Rabbitohs for the remainder of the 2025 NRL season as part of an agreement made with the Dragons.
The short-term deal will see the winger move to South Sydney before returning to St George Illawarra next year.
With injuries to Tyrone Munro and Latrell Mitchell, Rabbitohs recruitment manager Mark Ellison said Ravalawa will add much-needed depth to the squad.
He says Ravalawa is a powerful, big body with a lot of NRL experience, and he also noted his try-scoring abilities.
Ellison says he will add depth to their outside back stocks.
The Rabbitohs recruitment manager says he has represented his country and provides them with a point of difference on their flanks with his aggressive running style.
Ellison says they look forward to welcoming Ravalawa to the Rabbitohs.
The Rabbitohs are currently in fifth place in the NRL points table after starting on a high note, winning both games in rounds 1 and 2.
The Rabbitohs will take on the Sharks at 4pm Saturday.
In other matches, the Storm will face the Panthers at 9pm Thursday, the Warriors will meet the Roosters at 7pm Friday, and the Broncos will play the Cowboys at 9pm Friday.
