Swire Shipping Fijian Drua flyhalf Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula

Playing for the Fiji Water Flying Fijians would be a dream come true and that is a goal that young Swire Shipping Fijian Drua flyhalf Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula has set for himself.

The 20-year-old was born in Christchurch, New Zealand and is originally from Moce in Lau while his mother is Tongan-Samoan.

Ravula has a chance to represent multiple countries on the international stage including Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and NZ but he is eyeing to don the Flying Fijians jumper in the future.

He says signing up for the Fijian Drua this season is exciting for him and says he sometimes has to pinch himself because he is training alongside some of the players he grew up watching play on TV.

The young flyhalf says apart from his family, his faith in God is one of his huge motivations as well.

He adds his other goal is to be the better version of himself on and off the field and continue to grow.

Armstrong-Ravula is also the nephew of former Crusaders and All Blacks flyhalf Richie Mo’unga.

The Fijian Drua will have one last pre-season trial match against the Melbourne Rebels next week Friday in Melbourne before they start their 2024 Super Rugby Pacific campaign.

They will play the Blues in their first match of the season on the 24th of this month in Auckland.
