Former NRL star and current Vodafone Fiji Bati players’ mentor Jarryd Hayne believes that the key to executing their game plan well is patience which they lacked against the PNG Kumuls last weekend.

Hayne says against the Kumuls, they just got to the point where they felt like they had to score every time they were in attack and it ended up costing them two long-range tries when they were on attack.

He says they looked well for the most part of the game but it was just the finishing touches, last tackle options and just being patient with the ball that was missing in their game plan.

He says it really is a blessing just being around the footy environment again after six years.

The Bati will take on the Cook Islands Aitu in round 2 of the Pacific Rugby League Bowl Championship at 8.10pm this Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
