The inclusion of the veteran players based in the Northern Hemisphere was crucial in the Fiji Water Flying Fijians’ outstanding performance against Wales yesterday which helped them secure a historic 24-19 win in Cardiff.
Coach Mick Byrne says it was evident when the game was on the line, a few of them made some good line breaks, as well as some good solid tackles.
He says Tuisova’s try was just a bulldozing run from a player who backs himself.
He adds the Northern Hemisphere-based players certainly contributed their bit to the game.
Byrne went on to say that he was proud of how the players played as they just wanted to make history.
Meanwhile, the Flying Fijians now turn their focus to their 3rd Autumn Series test against Spain at 2am this Sunday in Valladolid, Spain.
