Sebastian “The Sniper” Singh

There is no pressure and no stress in Fiji cruiserweight boxer Sebastian “The Sniper” Singh’s camp as they look forward to their upcoming IBO Asia Pacific Cruiserweight title fight against Tonga’s King Tonga Tongotongo in the South Pacific Boxing Promotion this Saturday.

Singh says the only thing that he is trying to overcome now is the nerves knowing that he is fighting such a tough fight here at home.

He says he has fought bigger fights before and had fights of this calibre abroad.

He adds his inspiration will be the thought of fighting in front of his home fans and especially in front of the kids that he works with.

Meanwhile, there will be 3 international title fights and 1 local title fight in this event which is the first ever in the Pacific region.

The three international title fights will see Fiji’s boxing sensation Winston Hill taking on Australia’s Lachlan O’Shea for the IBO Asia Pacific Super Welterweight title, Singh will take on Tongotongo for the IBO Asia Pacific Cruiserweight title and Ubayd Haider will fight China’s Runqi Zhou for the IBO Asia Pacific Featherweight title.

Siliveni Nawai and Jonathan Pedro Hill will fight for the Fijian Super Middleweight title.

There will also be another international fight in the event that will see Jese Ravudi taking on Vanuatu’s Roy Ser.

In other fights on the night, Jnr Abhay Chand will take on Vitori Cabalevu in a 6x3 contest while in the 4x3 contest, Apisai Naciqa will fight Marika Kavika, Manoa Tuiyaro will take on Ezra Volavola, Amit Kumar will fight Mikaele Marisi and Amo Wati will fight Maureen Neumia in the only 4x2 female bout. The South Pacific Boxing Promotion will be held this Saturday at King Charles Park, Nadi.
