Naitasiri Warriors on track in defence of U19 rugby league title

Defending Secondary School Rugby League U19 champions Naitasiri Warriors are through to the semi finals after thrashing Nasikawa Raiders 32-12 in the quarter finals at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

The team is aiming to retain their title at this year’s competition.

In other U19 quarter finals, Ra Roosters defeated QVS Knights 30-22, RKS Eels thumped Nadroga Navosa Titans 28-10, and Ba Pro Dragons beat Nasinu Panther 26-10.

Looking at the results of the U17 quarter finals, Sigatoka Valley Cowboys beat Lelean Bati 14-4, Ra Roosters beat Nasinu Panthers 26-10, Ba Pro Dragons thumped Naitasiri Warriors 22-12, and Marist Storm edged Ba Methodist Saints 20-18.

In the U15 grade, Lautoka Central Storm, Marist Storm, MGM Dragons and Sigatoka Methodist Saints are through to the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League U15 grade semi finals after winning their respective quarter final matches this morning.

Lautoka Central edged Vashist Muni Sea Eagles 16-12, Marist thumped Sigatoka Valley Cowboys 26-2, MGM thumped Drasa Rams 28-6, and Sigatoka Methodist upset Nasinu Panthers 12-8.

The semifinals will be held next Saturday at Govind Park in Ba, and the final will be held again at Prince Charles Park in Nadi the following week.
