Former Fiji Airways Fiji Men’s 7s playmaker Emosi Mulevoro’s inclusion in the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s coaching staff has made a lot of positive impact on the team as they prepare to kick start the 2024/2025 HSBC SVNS World Series this weekend in Dubai.
Fijiana 7s interim coach Timoci Volavola says he brought Mulevoro in to help with the team because he knows the capability that Mulevoro had when he was still playing for Fiji 7s and he could help the Fijiana players by imparting that knowledge to them.
Volavola says Mulevoro was a key player in the Fiji Men’s 7s side and his knowledge of the game will really help the Fijiana 7s side, especially the backline players.
The Fijiana 7s will take on Ireland at 5.44pm Saturday in their first pool match, they will then face Australia at 9.05pm the same evening and then play China at 1.13am Sunday in their final pool match.
The women’s cup quarterfinals will kick off at 5.20pm Sunday, the semifinals will begin at 9.12pm and the cup final will be at 3.35am next Monday.
