Mosese Raulini has resigned as the Head Coach of the Vodafone Fijiana 15s team after continuous dismal performances by his side during WXV3 matches in Dubai.
The Fijiana lost to Samoa 45-17, Scotland 59-15 and Netherlands 10-12.
They also dropped in the world rankings from 15th to 17th place.
The Fiji Rugby Union says this decision was made by Rauluni as he understands the recent results have not met the high-performance standards he set for the team.
FRU says Rauluni will complete his contract with them after Fijiana’s WXV3 campaign before returning to Australia to be with his family.
FRU Chief Executive, Rovereto Nayacalevu, says they respect Rauluni’s decision and are grateful for his hard work and dedication to Fijian rugby.
Nayacalevu says they are in the process of finding a suitable replacement as head coach of the Fijiana 15s and Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua.
The Fijiana play Spain at 4.30am on Sunday.
