More medals on the line on second last day of Pacific Games competitions

Heading into the second last day of competition for the Pacific Games, even more medals are up for grabs for Team Fiji as they will be featuring in 9 sports.

The Women’s Va’a has just won silver in the V6 24km marathon this morning while the V6 Men’s marathon starts this hour.

Team Fiji Hockey are both in the gold medal final with the Women’s team playing the Solomon Islands at 1.20pm and the Men’s team faces PNG at 2.10pm.

History is on the line as the Fiji Kulas are gunning for their first gold in Football against PNG at 8 tonight while the Men’s team are in the bronze playoff against Vanuatu at 4pm.

In Athletics, Keleni Lutu and Domitila Naita are in the long jump finals this hour.

In the Women’s 200 metres final, Melania Ranadi and Braelyn Yee are running at 1.45pm while Waisake Tewa, Joshua Daudravuni and Jonacani Koroi are running in the Men’s 200 metres final at 2pm.

The Women’s 4x100 metres final will start at 4pm while the Men’s 4x100 metres final is at 4.20pm.

In 3 on 3 Basketball, the Fiji Men’s team play the Cook Islands at 4.40pm while the Women’s team will play the Solomon Islands at 8.45 tonight.

Fiji is sixth with 16 gold, 25 silver and 30 bronze.

New Caledonia is leading with 73 gold, 51 silver and 50 bronze while Tahiti is second with 46 gold, 48 silver and 47 bronze medals.
