Apart from receiving a yellow card in the 77th minute for a foul play, Fiji Water Flying Fijians outside back Sireli Maqala played an instrumental role for his Bayonne side to help them secure a 21-13 win over Stade Francais in round 11 of the French Top 14 competition this morning.
Maqala started at outside centre and ran a total of 54 metres in 12 carries over a span of 77 minutes.
He also made 1 line break, beat 6 defenders and made 3 offloads on attack.
The 24-year-old also had a 100 percent tackle rate in the match.
Meanwhile, Peniasi Dakuwaqa started on the wing for Stade Francais.
In other Top 14 matches played in round 11, Toulouse defeated Racing 92 21-17, Vannes beat La Rochelle 23-14, Clermont thrashed Castres 54-10, Bordeaux edged Montpellier 9-6, Pau defeated Lyon 29-15 and Toulon beat Perpignan 22-13.
