Seaqaqa Central College’s Iosefo Manasa and Dreketi Central College’s Litia Vudeiwai have been crowned the Coca-Cola Macuata Zone 2 Blue Ribbon Champions after winning their respective 100 metre races this afternoon.
In an interview with fijivillage Sports, Manasa says he is thankful to God for this achievement as he has trained hard for his win.
Manasa says he is overwhelmed by the victory and is now looking forward on winning the Blue Ribbon at the Coca-Cola Games for his school.
Meanwhile, Vudeiwai says she is proud of representing her school as they had some good training for the Macuata Zone.
She will also take part in the 4x100 metres race.
Tabia College leads the boys’ division with 8 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze followed by Seaqaqa College with 6 gold, 2 silver and 9 bronze while Dreketi College is third with 5 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze.
Dreketi Central College leads the girls’ division with 16 gold, 13 silver and 10 bronze followed by Seaqaqa Central College with 7 gold, 5 silver and 10 bronze while Ahmadiyya Muslim College is third with 5 gold, 3 silver and 3 bronze.
