Liverpool beat Manchester City 2-0 this morning to go nine points clear at the top of the English Premier League.

Liverpool led 1-nil at halftime.

Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah scored for Liverpool.

In other matches, Manchester United thrashed Everton 4-nil, Chelsea beat Aston Villa 3-nil while Tottenham Hotspur and Fulham finished with a 1-1 draw.

Liverpool is leading the table with 35 points followed by Arsenal with 25 points, Chelsea is third with 23 points while Broghton is fourth with 23 points.
