Fijian-born Wallaby Marika Koroibete has joined the newly established Oceania Sports Management which aims to provide holistic support to players, guiding them from the start of their careers through to retirement and beyond.
Koroibete says the decision to come on board with Oceania Sports Management was an easy one, as the company’s principal, Terry Linford, has been a strong influence and mentor throughout his career, both on and off the field.
He says this relationship has fostered a close friendship over the years.
Koroibete adds his involvement goes beyond a typical player-agent relationship, offering him an opportunity to mentor and support emerging players as they progress in their journeys.
He plans to share his insights and experiences to help guide them toward success.
He says Oceania Sports Management’s approach focuses on mentoring, support, and expert advice to build success on and off the field and it is the best way to maximize outcomes for players.
Koroibete says it is importance to understand Pacific Islander’s culture, as it plays a vital role in player welfare and development.
