Fiji Men’s 7s Coach Osea Kolinisau is stressing to the team getting ready for the Paris Olympics that defence is the key to winning games, and they are working on getting their defence structure right.

He says the message to the team is clear and that is when they pride themselves in working hard, the rest will fall into place.

Kolinisau says they are working on fine-tuning the overall game management of the team from the kick-offs to ball retention during general play which will be vital.

He says having possession will be paramount because, with it, they can score maximum points.

Kolinisau adds the boys understand the standards needed to perform at this level.

Fiji is in a tough pool in the Paris Olympics as they are pooled with hosts France, USA, and Uruguay.

The Olympic 7s will be from the 25th to the 31st of July 2024.
