Argentina have lifted the HSBC Hong Kong 7s title after outplaying Olympic champions France 12-7.
In a game that took more than 10 minutes for a point to be scored, both teams were evenly matched as they went into half time with the scores locked at nil-all.
With both teams coming in having never won the Hong Kong 7s, stakes were high.
Santiago Alvarez through some fancy footwork was able to scoot up the middle to dot down with Marcos Moneta following suit a minute later and Joaquin Pellandini adding the conversion.
France was able to finally score in the last minute through Gregoire Arfeuil which was converted by Mateo Garcia.
With their win Argentina has now got 88 points in the standings with Fiji in second with 76, and Spain with 74.
