The All Blacks escaped from the jaws of defeat this morning as they held on to beat England 24-22 at Twickenham Stadium.

England flyhalf George Ford had the chance to steal the game in the dying stages but missed two crucial opportunities, one of which was a drop goal in front of the post at the stroke of full-time.

All Blacks winger Mark Tele’a was the toast of his side scoring two tries, one of which was the winning try that was converted by super sub Damien McKenzie.

The home side scored only 1 try through winger Immanuel Feyi-Waboso, while the rest of the points came from four penalty kicks at goal and a conversion by Marcus Smith and also a penalty kick from Ben Spencer.

The All Blacks scored three tries through Tele’a, who scored two, and Will Jordan.

Beauden Barrett added two conversions while McKenzie kicked a conversion and a penalty kick at goal.

The All Blacks led 14-12 at halftime.

The All Blacks will now head to Durban to take on Ireland next Saturday while England will host the Wallabies next Sunday.
