Fiji has earned a place in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Oceania Qualifiers semi-finals after a hard-fought 1-all draw against New Caledonia in Port Moresby this afternoon.
Roy Krishna’s penalty gave Fiji a 1-0 lead just before halftime, but New Caledonia’s Jean-Jacques Katrawa leveled the score in the 58th minute.
Both teams will now head to the semi-finals in New Zealand next March, while Papua New Guinea is out of contention.
