The SportsWorld Fiji Under-20 team had a tough start to their 2025 Super Rugby Under-20 campaign, suffering a heavy 65-10 defeat against the Hurricanes in New Zealand.
The players struggled from the first whistle with the Hurricanes dominating both possession and territory.
The Hurricanes led 33-0 at halftime.
Despite a fightback in the second half, Fiji was unable to match the execution of their opponents.
The win means the Hurricanes will advance into the semi-finals on Wednesday, while the Fijians will drop to the play-offs for the fifth to eighth positions.
