The Fijian Drua have today unveiled a distinct new logo which pays homage to the origins of the franchise name.

The brand identity features the stylized version of the iconic Drua which is the renowned and powerful traditional Fijian sea vessel.

The brand-mark connects the franchise to its roots and symbolises the journey the Drua has embarked on.

Interim Fijian Drua CEO Brian Thorburn says hundreds of years ago the Drua was an unstoppable vessel transporting warriors on the world’s mightiest ocean.

Thorburn says this is exactly the images, feelings and emotions that the brand is designed to evoke.

He says this is the first time that a professional Fijian side will play in a regular competition week in, week out.

Thorburn adds they are honored and privileged to be entrusted with this huge responsibility.
