The Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women are heading into this weekend’s Super Rugby W semi final against the Reds in Brisbane with so much respect for the home side but are sticking to their goal of winning and making their fourth consecutive final of the competition.
Backline coach Apenisa Nasilasila says so far their preparation has been going well and the players have been briefed on how important this week is.
Nasilasila says they talked about their performance in the previous rounds, especially their game against the Reds in Lautoka last month and they have taken out some learnings from it.
He says the Reds have all the advantage, especially with the crowd, but the Drua players have been prepared very clinically on how to approach this match.
Nasilasila says it is a semi final and it is a two-sided game, so the players have been mentally put through the phases during training this week.
The Drua will take on the Reds at 3.05pm Sunday in the first semi final in Brisbane.
The Waratahs will take on the Western Force in the second semi final at 5.05pm Sunday in New South Wales.
