A domestic Super Rugby competition featuring the five New Zealand Super Rugby teams is likely to happen.
TVNZ News reports that the competition could even be underwritten and only funded by SANZAAR but no formal decision has been made and no firm date is currently possible.
New Zealand Provincial Unions will be taking funding cuts of around 15 percent for the rest of the year as New Zealand Rugby is projected to have a potential 130 million-dollar loss.
New Zealand Rugby and the Players Association have worked hard to make sure that on top of any percentage reduction, pay cuts are weighted to be as fair as possible.
