Former Australian Women’s 7s captain Charlotte Caslick is set to make her Super Rugby Women's debut for the Queensland Reds after being named on the bench to face the NSW Waratahs at Ballymore in Brisbane this Sunday.
Caslick will not feature again for the Australian rugby sevens team this year, as she is committed fully to the 15-a-side game ahead of this year's World Cup.
She intended to feature for the Reds this season but has decided to withdraw from the remaining legs of the World Rugby Sevens Series.
Her stint in the Super Rugby Women's competition will be crucial to earn a spot for the Wallaroos ahead of the World Cup which will be in England in August and September.
She says this will keep her inspired and motivated to improve herself as a player and person.
The Queensland Reds Women’s will play the Waratahs at 3.05pm Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Rooster Chicken Fijiana Drua side will host the Brumbies at 3.30pm Saturday at Churchill Park, Lautoka.
