CMF and Sacred Heart College boys shine while MGM girls start strong on Day 2 of Suva Zone 1

The competition is heating up at the Coca-Cola Suva Zone 1 meet, with Christian Mission Fellowship College and Sacred Heart College making a powerful statement in the boys' division, leading the medal tally with 3 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medal each.

John Wesley College is keeping the race tight with 3 gold and 2 silver, while Ratu Sukuna Memorial School is also in the hunt, claiming 2 gold, 4 silver, and 4 bronze medals.

In the girl's division, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School continues to dominate as they lead with 9 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze medals.

RSMS is in second place with 5 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze, while CMF College is holding on to third place with 2 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze.

Penijamini Taivoce of Kalabu Secondary School took out the gold medal in the senior boy's discus with a throw of 34.85 metres, Robitu Suguta of RSMS settled for silver and Daniel Koroinamua of Church College Fiji took out the bronze medal.

In the senior girls discus, Lilly Drekeni of RSMS won gold with a throw of 28.45 metres, Merewai Kaunitoga of RSMS won silver and Anaseini Matai of Suva Muslim College took the bronze medal.

In the Sub Junior Shot Put event, Eparama Laba of John Wesley College won gold with a 12.41 metres throw, Caleb Bolai of Sacred Heart College took silver and Joshua Salabula of Suva Muslim won bronze.

The HFC Bank Stadium is buzzing with energy and school pride.

All eyes are now on the final events as the teams battle for glory.
