The ACT Brumbies delivered a controlled and clinical performance to defeat the Highlanders 32-27 in the Shop & Save Super Rugby Pacific game last night at GIO Stadium in Canberra.
With their set-piece dominance and relentless defensive pressure, the Brumbies extended their perfect home record with 10 wins.
The Highlanders, who entered the match as underdogs, managed to stay competitive in the first half, but the Brumbies led 15-5 at halftime.
The visitors were ultimately overpowered as the Brumbies raised their intensity and ruthlessly capitalized on their chances in the second forty minutes.
The home side wasted no time asserting dominance in the second half, scoring another 19 points while the visitors extended their deficit by 22 points.
In other results, Hurricanes thrashed the Waratahs 57-12.
The Crusaders will face Moana Pasifika today at 6.05pm in Auckland while the Reds will play the Force at 8.35pm today.
