Olympic gold medalist, Napolioni Bolaca is among the first five players who have been named in the Fijian Drua extended squad for the 2022 Super Rugby Pacific.

Other players who have been named in the Drua are former national 7s rep, Nemani Nagusa, Simione Kuruvoli, Tevita Ikanevere and Onisi Ratave.

Fijian Drua Interim CEO, Brian Thorburn says Bolaca will be an excellent backline utility option as flyhalf, fullback or winger.

Thorburn says all five players revealed today are home grown and have come through the 7s, age group or High Performance programs.

Onisi Ratave currently plays for Bay of Plenty in the NPC and was part of the Flying Fijians squad which toured New Zealand earlier this year.

More names are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Fiji Rugby Union General Manager High Performance, Simon Raiwalui says these players will be given a 2-year contract.
