Australian Rugby League Coach Mal Meninga has named eight debutants in his squad to take part in the upcoming Pacific Rugby League Championship.
The eight players include Tom Dearden, Zac Lomax, Mitch Moses, Lindsay Smith, Reece Robson, Xavier Coates, Bradman Best and Mitch Barnett.
Meninga says the squad features four members of the premiership-winning Panthers outfit, including Isaah Yeo, who will captain the side, and Clive Churchill Medal winner Liam Martin.
The Kangaroos will play Tonga in Brisbane on the 18th of October in their first match.
Meanwhile, the Vodafone Fiji Bati will take on the PNG Kumuls in their first match of the Championship at 8.10pm next Saturday.
