Organizers of the 16th Fiji Bitter Savusavu 7s aim to build more toilets for their village hall and assist their elders in the village of Yaroi after the three-day tournament, which will be held from January 30th to February 1st next year.

The President of the Gaunavou Rugby Club, Pita Ralaca, says the tournament provides a valuable opportunity for grassroot players and clubs to pursue their dreams of becoming professional rugby players.

He says the main reason for building more toilets is to accommodate the Provincial Council meeting, which is held there annually.

The tournament will feature 36 men’s teams competing for the $10,000 prize money in the main cup competition, while 16 U18–U21 teams will vie for the $2,000 prize.

A total of eight teams will compete for the $1,000 prize money in the women’s competition.

Tournament organizers have confirmed that spots are still available.

Teams interested in registering can contact Pita Ralaca at 9822190 or 7525373.

The 16th Fiji Bitter Savusavu 7s will be held at Ratu Ganilau Park in Savusavu.
