The Fiji Water Flying Fijians will need to be cleaner when scoring tries and that is an area that they will work on as they turn their focus now to this week’s last test match of the Autumn Nations Series against Ireland.
Coach Mick Byrne says the game against Spain was quite frustrating, especially getting two tries awarded and then later disallowed following reviews from the TMO.
Both tries were scored by hooker Sam Matavesi from rolling mauls off two lineouts but were then disallowed after TMO ruled that there were obstructions leading up to both tries.
Matavesi managed to get a try the third time where there was no involvement from the TMO.
Byrne says they made a few errors when they had possession but there were also some big calls made by the referee during the match.
He says they dropped the ball too many times in the first half as well when they needed possession the most.
The Flying Fijians will take on Ireland at 3.10am Sunday at the Aviva Stadium.
