The Fiji Marist Brothers Education Trust board has abolished the Marist Brothers High School Sports Academy.
The board says the academy is not sustainable and it will need to undergo a full review in terms of its program, teaching staff and management structure.
This Sports Science Academy offered Diploma Course to its students and were taught by graduates with relevant qualifications in sports science.
The Board says they may reestablish the Academy when it is registered with the Higher Education Commission.
It says the same course is being offered at Fiji National University and the board does not have the financial capacity to meet the level in which FNU is offering the course.
