Yato and Raka both score to help Clermont beat Castress 41‑6

Fiji born Alivereti Raka and Peceli Yato proved far too much for Castres as they scored a try each to help their Clemont side comfortably brush aside defending champions Castres 41‑6 opening the French Top 14 round 8 matches.

In another match quick tries from Virimi Vakatawa and a try and coversion from Ben Volavola helped Racing 92 get back on track to defeat Pau 48-28.

Waisea Nayacalevu was also instrumental scoring a try for his side, Stade Francais to beat Montpellier 25-20.

In other French Top 14 matches, Agen and Grenoble played out a 9-all draw, Bordeaux Beagles beat Lyon 35-13, La Rocelle beat Toulon 13-9 while Toulouse beat Perpignan 36-18.

Meanwhile Clermont lead the French Top 14 points table with 30points, Stade Francais are in second place with 27 points, Toulouse is in third place with 24 points while Racing 92 are in fourth place with 22 points.
