Wise Kativerata expected to be new coach of Fiji Bati

Former Vodafone Fiji Bati player, Wise Kativerata is expected to be the new coach of the Vodafone Fiji Bati.

Fiji National Rugby League has confirmed that talks are still on going for Kativerata to take over the reigns from former coach, Rick Stone.

FNRL said they have submitted Kativerata’s name to the National Sports Commission and a final decision is expected to be made soon.

Sports Commission Chairman, Peter Mazey confirmed that they have received Kativerata’s name and they are expected to meet with the FNRL board tomorrow in regards to engaging of overseas coaches.

Kativerata who currently resides in Australia has also played in the NRL for Paramatta Eels, South Sydney Rabbitohs, St George Illawara Dragons and rugby union for the New South Wales Waratahs.
