Serena Williams won her first title in three years and first since becoming a mother with victory over Jessica Pegula at the Auckland Classic.
It is the 38-year-old's first singles title since she won the Australian Open in 2017 and her 73rd WTA title overall.
Shortly after the match, Williams announced she will donate her entire prize money cheque of US$43,000 to the Australian bush fire appeal.
She says she has been playing in Australia for over 20 years and it is been really hard for her to watch all the news and everything that has been happening with all the fires.
