New Blues co‑captain Blake Gibson says the changes in coaching roles has been "seamless" at the Auckland rugby franchise and that his side are getting on with their job preparing for the 2019 Super Rugby season.
Tana Umaga stepped down to an assistant coaching role for the Blues last month with Leon MacDonald called in to take over as head coach.
Gibson told media in Auckland that the Blues players and coaches are tracking along well in training.
The 23‑year‑old flanker said Auckland’s 40‑33 win over Canterbury to claim the Mitre 10 Cup Premiership final in October is a huge confidence boost for the Blues.
The Blues finished last in the New Zealand Super Rugby conference and second to last in the overall competition standings in 2018.
The 2019 Super Rugby Season will begin on Friday 15th February, 2019.
