Weightlifting Fiji will have 12 athletes and 3 officials travel to Port Vila as part of Team Fiji to compete in the 2017 Pacific Mini Games.

This will be the largest Weightlifting Team to travel overseas for any competition ever.

It includes Manueli Tulo, Poama Qaqa, Taniela Rainibogi, Tevita Tawai and Patrick Veidreyaki, Seruwaia Malani, Arieta Mudunavoce, Sofia Kinikinilau, Maria Mareta, Maria Liku, Apolonia Vaivai and Eileen Cikamatana.

Weightlifting Fiji Section Manager Ritesh Ratiram says we now have some very talented young and upcoming athletes coming through the ranks who’ll be competing alongside the big names in the sport, both from Fiji and the Oceania in Vanuatu.

The Pacific Mini Games will be held from 8th to 14th December.
