All Blacks 7s star Regan Ware says how their team responds to the pressure of expectation in a home tournament in the HSBC World Sevens Series is a measure of how good their team is.
Tomorrow’s Hamilton 7s will only be the second time All Blacks 7s team play in the FMG Stadium.
Ware says this will also be a chance for all to see whether the team would stand up to the pressure or take a step back from it.
Ware adds it was also memorable having the crowd behind them and he said he often looked back to last year's 12‑14 semifinal loss to Fiji and how 'wicked' the atmosphere was.
He says he thinks half the crowd was chanting 'All Blacks', and half the crowd was chanting 'Fiji' adding they could not even hear in the stadium.
Ware says they were using sign language to communicate to other players and atmosphere like that is what they thrive on and hopefully they can get the same turnout this year.
All Blacks Sevens is pooled with Japan, Canada and Spain in the Hamilton 7s this weekend.
